A conduit that allows liquid to flow out of a contained volume is known as a drain.Taking a while to drain requires the need of unclogging. The use of baking soda and vinegar is used in order to unclog the drain as the fizzing action helps remove the gunk, grime and hair. Baking soda and vinegar is used at a certain amount which is then left to sit for an hour or overnight and finally flushing with hot water. Another way is using boiling water after which its poured slowly on to the drain in two or three stages while allowing the water to work for several seconds between each pour. Not only is using boiling water the easiest way to unclog a drain but also the fastest way.
In addition to use of boiling water, baking soda and vinegar, caustic soda is also used to unclog a drain. Horrible chemical burns are resulted from caustic soda and thus use of rubber gloves and eye protection is required. Caustic soda can be obtained from any local hardware stores as its easily available. The use of a bent wire hanger is also an effective means of unclogging the drain. Straightening of the hanger wire is first done which is then followed creation of a small hook that is pushed past the drain cover in order to unclog it. The bent wire hanger is able to obtain much of the grime, gunk and hair after which hot water is run through in order to clear the drain.
Grime and gunk is dissolved by use of baking soda and salt mixed with boiling water. Equal portions of baking soda and salt is poured on to the clogged drain and left for some minutes after which boiling water is poured through. A quarter cup of dish detergent is poured in the bowl and is preceded with boiling of water. The dish detergent acts a lubricant and helps to break up greasy residue.
Another means of unclogging the drain is to clean the pipe. Cleaning of the pipe involves processes such as placing an empty bucket beneath the sink, using a plumber’s wrench to loosen the screws of the pipe, removing the pipe and finally removing the contents causing the clogging. The installation process of water heaters is first known in order for repairs to work and they are divided into two parts. Removal of the old water heater and installation of the new water heater are the main divisions during installation of a water heater. Removal of the old water heater is followed through with some steps.
